Michael Sonkin joined Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP in 2000 and became partner in 2003. His legal practice primarily encompasses state and federal medical malpractice matters in which Mr. Sonkin handles the defense of physicians and hospitals from inception through trial. His practice also includes legal malpractice defense and personal injury defense. Prior to joining MCB, Mr. Sonkin was an Assistant Corporation Counsel from 1993 to 1998 and was primarily assigned to the Kings County Tort Division. In this position, he conducted more than a dozen trials to verdict in a variety of matters in defense of the City of New York including cases involving police brutality and false arrest, premises liability, and personal injury.
