John A. Genua is an Associate at Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP, where he focuses his practice on defense of medical malpractice and general liability matters involving client doctors, hospitals, health care systems, and other medical professionals.
Prior to joining MCB, John worked for the office of the Nassau County Attorney, where he practiced in a wide range of civil areas of law, including municipal defense of false arrest/malicious prosecution actions, federal district court actions, labor and employment law, tax certiorari, family court and Nassau County Vehicle and Traffic Court prosecution. John also has a background in the mental healthcare field and was previously employed by the State of New York Office of Mental Health as a Master’s level forensic psychologist. John’s background also includes conducting human drug trials at North Shore LIJ, Zucker Hillside Hospital as a research associate and is published with the Eastern Psychological Association for his research in the field of behavioral psychology.
John received his J.D. from Touro Law Center, his M.A. from CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice, his B.A. from SUNY Binghamton and participated in R.O.T.C. at Norwich University military school. John is admitted to practice in New York, and Federal Eastern Disctrict of New York.
