Yusuf Sattar is an Associate at Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP, where he focuses his practice on defense of medical malpractice and general liability matters involving client doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, health care systems, and other medical professionals.
Prior to joining MCB, Yusuf started his career with J.P. Morgan Chase where he summarized and analyzed the provisions of Master and Equity Long Form Confirmations, Global Custody, Tri-party Control, Global Master Repurchase, and OTC Clearing Agreements, as well as assessed the risk factor for the bank in each agreement in order to ensure operational resilience and avoid regulatory sanctions. After which, his passion for litigation guided him to Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where he served the People of New York for several years as an Assistant District Attorney. As a prosecutor, he was responsible for investigations, discovery, hearings and trials. Yusuf gained extensive and invaluable trial experience during his tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, where he first and second chaired multiple misdemeanor and felony trials.
Yusuf received his B.S. in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University in 2009 , and his J.D. from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2013. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
