Employment & Labor Practice Group Partners Greg Reilly and Adam Guttell will speak at the MGMA Conference on December 9, 2015 in New York in a seminar entitled "From Disability Leave to Progressive Discipline: Effective Human Resource Management for Today’s Medical Practice."
This presentation provides a detailed discussion of frequent human resource issues encountered in small, medium, and large medical practices. Topics to be explored include effective management of employees, such as, addressing requests for disability leave under federal, New York State, and New York City law; proper management of problematic employee conduct; wage and hour concerns regarding proper classification and pay practices of medical practice employees; and interrelation of policies when merging with other practice groups or becoming a captive professional corporation of a hospital system.
