Prior to joining MCB, Julianna was an associate attorney at a boutique civil defense firm in the New York metropolitan area. Specializing in medical malpractice, she defended physicians, hospitals, and healthcare institutions against high-stakes liability claims. Her extensive responsibilities included drafting and arguing motions, conducting in-depth legal and medical research, and analyzing voluminous medical records to assess liability and establish causation defenses. Additionally, she managed court appearances for preliminary, compliance, and status conferences; conducted depositions of plaintiffs and non-party witnesses; and prepared comprehensive liability evaluations and risk exposure analyses for insurance carriers.
Prior to her focus on medical defense, Julianna served as an associate attorney at a New York firm specializing in insurance and reinsurance law. In this role, she represented both domestic and European insurers and reinsurers in complex coverage disputes involving general liability and specialty risk policies. Julianna began her legal career as a personal injury law clerk, a position that provided a solid foundation in legal research and draftsmanship while exposing her to all facets of trial preparation.
Julianna received her B.A. and B.S. from Miami University of Ohio in 2018. She earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2023, where she was a member of the Student Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the Women’s Law Society. She is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
