
Associate
Prior to joining MCB, Raquel worked as an associate attorney at a full-service law firm in New York, where she assisted with trial preparation for complex state and federal civil litigations. Her specific responsibilities included preparation of dispositive motions, interviewing witnesses, conducting legal research, and drafting/filing of Statements of Claim and other documents related to breach of contract/collection proceedings. She also served as Assistant District Attorney for the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, where she practiced in the Domestic Violence Bureau/ Human Trafficking Unit for approximately four years.
Raquel received her B.A. from Northern Illinois University in 2015, cum laude, winning merit scholar awards, such as Presidential Scholar and Centennial Merit Scholar, during all academic years. She earned her J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2018, cum laude, making Dean’s List each year as well as earning the Thurgood Marshall Award and other merit-based scholarships. Raquel is also fluent in Spanish.
Raquel is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
