Partner Christopher Terzian, Senior Associate Kerona Samuels and Associate Edmund Rakowski obtained summary judgment in Supreme Court, Nassau County. In this matter, plaintiff presented to codefendant hospital to undergo a left carotid endarterectomy for endarterectomy for high-grade asymptomatic left carotid artery stenosis. Our client served as the anesthesiologist. Plaintiff alleged the anesthesia was improperly administered and was not effective resulting in him experiencing pain. We moved for Summary judgment to dismiss all the claims. Plaintiff also cross moved for summary judgment on the issue of liability. The Court granted defendant's motion and dismissed plaintiff's cross motion.
