MCB Announces Retirement of Senior Trial Partner, Jeffrey A. Shor

Throughout his tenure with MCB, Jeff has dedicated the majority of his energies to representing physicians, dentists, podiatrists, nursing homes and major teaching hospitals in the New York metropolitan area. His commitment to the highest standards of legal practice is exemplified by the numerous cases he successfully tried to conclusion across the region.    

One notable achievement that stands out is the defense of an obstetrician in a complex medical malpractice case, as featured in New York Magazine as their cover story. The article not only showcased Jeff’s legal prowess but also provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by young physicians navigating the complexities of malpractice litigation.  

Jeff has assumed significant responsibilities in the management of our firm, serving on the Executive Committee, managing one of the firm’s major expansions as well as playing a key role in overseeing one of the firm’s largest health care clients. 

Jeff is a member of the Litigation Counsel of America, a prestigious peer-elected national trial lawyer honorary society. He has earned an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest level of professional excellence.    

Jeff has been a sought-after lecturer, sharing his expertise with various physician groups, professional liability insurance companies, and major teaching hospitals in the New York metropolitan area.  

Jeff earned his law degree in 1976 from the University of Richmond in Virginia and obtained his B.A. from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1973. Admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of New York, Jeff is also a member of the Virginia State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association.
