For more than 20 years, Thomas has defended major health systems, hospitals, group practices, physicians, nursing homes and various professionals in medical malpractice cases. His meticulous attention to detail, preparation and successes have led many clients to request his repeated representation. Thomas has successfully represented clients from inception through defense verdict at trial. He has also obtained many dismissals of cases through various complex and nuanced motions.
Thomas represents physicians in disciplinary proceedings brought by the Office of Professional Medical Conduct and other health care professionals in proceedings brought by the Office of Professional Discipline.
He is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell®, their highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
He is a as a lecturer for the firm’s Continuing Legal Education programs and has written articles for the Firm’s client newsletter.
Thomas obtained his J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center where he was a member of the Moot Court board. He obtained a B.S.from New York Institute of Technology where he graduated summa cum laude.
